Frequently Asked Questions
Which casing styles are supported by this tool?
The tool supports 7 casing modes: UPPERCASE, lowercase, Title Case (capitalizing every word), Sentence case (capitalizing the first word of each sentence), camelCase (for programming variables), snake_case (for database columns), and kebab-case (for URL slugs).
How does Sentence case handle multiple sentences?
Sentence case converts all text to lowercase and then capitalizes the first letter at the start of the text and following terminal punctuation marks (. ! ?) followed by whitespace.
What is the difference between camelCase, snake_case, and kebab-case?
camelCase removes spaces and capitalizes subsequent words (myVariable). snake_case replaces whitespace with underscores (my_variable). kebab-case replaces whitespace with hyphens (my-variable), commonly used in CSS classes and web URLs.
Does this tool preserve special characters and numbers?
Title, Sentence, Upper, and Lowercase modes preserve all existing numbers and punctuation. camelCase, snake_case, and kebab-case sanitize non-alphanumeric characters to produce clean software identifiers.
Is my text sent across the internet?
No. All string manipulations execute in local browser memory via JavaScript. No data is sent to any external server.
